Michael Mehnert, MD

Dr. Mehnert is a triple board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and has pursued further training in pain management. His focus is musculoskeletal medicine and non-surgical spine care, treating conditions like joint pain, soft tissue injuries, and spine disorders through non-operative approaches.

His practice includes nerve testing (EMG and nerve conduction studies) to pinpoint the source of pain or numbness, image-guided spine injections to target problem areas precisely, and sports and occupational medicine evaluations.

A Personal Approach to Care

Dr. Mehnert believes that good care starts with listening. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and works with them to identify the root cause of their symptoms. From there, he builds a personalized treatment plan that may include physical therapy, injections, and lifestyle adjustments — all aimed at helping patients move and feel better.

Training and Experience

Dr. Mehnert trained at the renowned Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey and completed additional fellowship training in spinal injection procedures and sports and occupational medicine. He has co-authored a textbook on spine injuries and their treatment, and spent 17 years with the Rothman Institute, practicing in both South Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. He also served as a Clinical Instructor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia.

Outside the Office

Dr. Mehnert lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with his family. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, trips to the shore, and a good rock concert whenever he gets the chance.

Castle Connolly Top Doctor

Congratulations to Dr. Mehnert on this well-earned recognition

Being named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor is not a title that can be purchased or applied for — it comes from a peer-driven nomination process, where other physicians recognize a colleague’s skill, judgment, and track record of helping patients get better. The screening behind the award is thorough, which is part of why it carries so much weight in the medical community. For patients, it’s one more sign that they’re in capable, well-regarded hands.
