Dr. Janelle Giresi, DPT is a physical therapist specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation with extensive experience treating patients across all stages of life, from young athletes to older adults. She takes a hands-on, individualized approach to physical therapy, combining manual therapy, functional movement analysis, therapeutic exercise, and taping techniques to help patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Education and Training
Dr. Giresi earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, where she worked alongside the Athletic Training Department for the Rutgers University Football team, assisting with both on-field care and rehabilitation of injured athletes. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with distinction from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Rutgers.
Advanced Certifications
Throughout her career, Dr. Giresi has continued to expand her clinical expertise. She earned the National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist certification and completed LSVT BIG training for the treatment of individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She has also completed pelvic health training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and has a growing clinical focus on women’s health.
Leadership and Collaboration
In addition to patient care, Dr. Giresi has served as a Clinical Instructor, Physical Therapy Manager, and Director of Physical Therapy. She values working within an interdisciplinary team and collaborating directly with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
