David Bandola, MD

Dr. David Bandola, MD is a dual board-certified physician in Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spine, musculoskeletal, and sports-related conditions. His clinical focus includes neck and back pain, herniated discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spinal arthritis, sacroiliac joint pain, and sports-related injuries.

Education and Training

Dr. Bandola graduated from Princeton University before earning his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine and gained additional experience as a visiting fellow at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Bandola takes a comprehensive approach to pain management, beginning with conservative treatments whenever appropriate and progressing to interventional options based on each patient’s condition and goals. His treatment plans may incorporate physical therapy, medications, targeted injections, and minimally invasive procedures with the goal of reducing pain, improving function, and helping patients return to the activities that are important to them.

Procedural Expertise

His procedural expertise includes epidural steroid injections, lumbar facet injections, radiofrequency ablation, and orthopedic joint injections. Dr. Bandola also has advanced experience with minimally invasive spine procedures, including spinal cord stimulation, percutaneous image-guided lumbar decompression, basivertebral nerve ablation, minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusion, and interspinous posterior device implantation.

Multidisciplinary Care
